Job summary

Kaiyiee Global Talent is hiring in Mexico City for a senior corporate legal and compliance role focusing on SOFOM licensing, data privacy, and consumer protection in a fintech environment. You will build and manage regulatory registrations, oversee lending and collections compliance, and coordinate with headquarters on cross-border matters.

The role requires a Mexican law degree, active license, 5+ years in corporate law/compliance, and fluent Spanish; English or Chinese is a strong plus.

Qualifications

• Mexican law degree (Licenciatura en Derecho) is required.
• Valid Mexican professional license (Cédula Profesional) is required.
• 5+ years in corporate legal and compliance, Banking/Fintech experience preferred.
• Experience with SOFOM licensing and end-to-end regulatory compliance is required.
• Knowledge of Mexican consumer financial protection and collections compliance is essential.
• Native or fluent Spanish; English or Chinese a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day legal affairs for the local SOFOM entity, including incorporation documents and regulatory updates.
• Lead regulatory registrations and filings (CNBV, CONDUSEF) and respond to inquiries and reports.
• Manage the SOFOM licensing application process and ensure full regulatory compliance.
• Establish end-to-end lending compliance for contracts, disclosures, e-signing, and retention.
• Oversee collections compliance and manage outsourced collection agencies and audits.
• Lead local data privacy compliance (LFPDPPP) and cross-border data transfers.
• Draft and review bilingual (Spanish/English) contracts and support employment matters.
