A finance-focused company in Mexicali is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to oversee product cost analysis and inventory integrity. The ideal candidate will have a degree in accounting or finance and 6-8 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include analyzing cost variations, auditing financial processes, and ensuring accurate physical inventories. Strong analytical, leadership, and bilingual communication skills are essential for this role.

Overview

Financial Analyst is responsible for the analysis and accuracy of product cost and usage variance as well as the integrity of inventory accounts, ensure product costing – pricing is based on accurate product costs, measures such as scrap, purchase price and material usage variances. This information allows management to take actions as necessary to achieve organizational goals, drives for yearly standard prices set-up, and new materials and products standard prices load.

Responsibilities
  • Perform analysis of product and material cost variations.
  • Audit and optimize continuously, the formulas used for costings determining the root cause of the variations in standard costs.
  • Perform account reconciliations in accordance with company policies and processes.
  • Guaranteed, from the financial aspects, the correct process and result of physical inventories.
  • Annual Physical Inventory Coordination of audit teams
  • Perform analysis of earned hours, scrap, and inventory at production floor.
Qualifications
  • Degree in accounting or finance.
  • Required previous experience, 6-8 years.
  • Desirable certifications.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Product Costing experience (full year cycle, rates calculation, + variance analysis)
  • Product costing, CAPEX & Projects management experience (desirable)
  • Strong excel, MPR, accounting systems, reporting / consolidation systems
  • Bilingual, proven leadership & excellent communication skills
