Blacksmith Agency is a fully remote US digital agency of 30 to 40 people delivering websites, SEO, paid media and branding. As Director of Finance and Operations you own finance end to end, plus the people operations that go with it, reporting straight to ownership as the senior finance person.

Qualifications

• Led end-to-end finance operations with ownership reporting to executive leadership.
• Independent and proactive with no handholding; drives processes autonomously.
• Clear written and spoken English; proficient with remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Finance: close books monthly, manage cash, payables, receivables and controls.
• FP&A: build revenue, margin and cash flow models; compare actuals vs forecasts.
• People operations: onboard/offboard remote team across countries; payroll setup; contracts.
