Baker Hughes in Ciudad del Carmen, Mexico is seeking a Field Specialist – LWD/DD to support Logging while Drilling and Directional Drilling operations on-site.
The role requires strong problem-solving, hands-on field experience, and excellent communication. You will work with complex drilling software and ensure compliance with HSE policies while delivering high-quality field services.
As a Dual Field Specialist, you will provide solutions to moderately complex problems on the wellsite, where evaluating situations or data requires reviewing multiple operations factors.
As a Field Specialist you will develop and demonstrate proficiency in the skill profile required for the delivery of Logging while Drilling services at the well site.
Under general supervision provides resolution to problems of moderately complex scope at the well site where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
Exercises judgment todeterminetheappropriate action/troubleshootingat the well site by relying upon hands-on experience andclassroom-basedtraining of standard principles, theories,conceptsand techniques.
Responsible for knowing the operational status of field equipment at the well site andmaintainingwhenappropriate.
Executeother related duties as assigned.
Conducts all business activitiesin accordance withBaker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core Values
Reporting for Drilling Services portfolio activities (mainly FEand DD)
Demonstrating Knowledge over Wellbore Placement
Ability to work with complex software (MLWD Software, Drilling software, office packages)
Demonstrating Knowledge over Collision Avoidance Practices and relation with MWD Activities
Developingproficiencyfor the delivery of Logging while Drilling services at the well site.
Completing advanced technical training and assignedwell-sitedevelopment Programs.
Developingproficiencyrequired for the delivery of Directional Drilling services at the well site
Demonstrating knowledge over Hydraulics and Torque & Drag Simulations
Ensuring and supervisingbestpractices for BHA Handling and make-up
Demonstrating knowledge of activities/technologies related to well construction like Hydraulic Expandable Reamers, Circulation Sub
Communicating andfacilitatingcontinuous improvement
Responsible for collecting andsubmittingall field documentation required for the billing process.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills demonstrate excellent customer awareness. Ability to work well and communicate well with others to wellsite personnel at all levels and work within a team environment.
Valid professionaldegreeandlicensearerequired.Bachelor’s degree in engineering(Petroleum,Mechanical, Electronical) or related.
More than5 years of experienceproveninDirectionalDrilling Servicesin the last 10 years(both LWD and Directional Drilling)verified with employment verification letter and field reports. PositionsofField Specialist, Field Engineer, Field Operator (MWD, MWD/LWD, LWD, DD).
