WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

You’ll join our Technical Delivery experts within the Enterprise Technology team, part of Bain’s digital capabilities practice. In this multidisciplinary group, you’ll help clients modernize their tech strategy, architecture, and systems -- aligning technology with business goals to drive efficiency, agility, and innovation. You’ll develop enterprise-wide solutions, optimize cloud and data architectures, and integrate AI to enable scalable end-to-end digital transformations.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Mission

  • Support the day-to-day implementation of technology transformation projects, focusing primarily on the delivery and operationalization of strategic initiatives to achieve significant business outcomes and impact
  • Maintain direct engagement with the clients and assume responsibility for major components of the project that are critical to successful delivery of the platform
  • Lead cross-functional teams in implementing project management strategies to achieve project objectives, including scope, schedule, budget, and business results
  • Focus on delivery assurance to ensure the efficient and effective implementation of strategic recommendations, utilizing project management principles to monitor progress, mitigate risks, and ensure timely delivery of project outcomes
  • Improve efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of clients’ business processes and operations in the context of large tech transformations ensuring tangible value creation for clients
  • Identify issues, create hypotheses and execute analysis; translate data into meaningful insights; present recommendations to key decision-makers
  • Drive clients to action by developing comprehensive plans to implement strategic recommendations and managing their execution to achieve desired outcomes

Essential functions

  • Participate in end-to-end technology and digital transformation projects, solving the most pressing needs of our clients with a key focus on delivering significant business outcomes and value
  • Establish and implement PMO tools such as Microsoft Project, ServiceNow, LeanIX from inception, guiding the team through onboarding to ensure seamless project operations and efficiency
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align project management practices with organizational goals and objectives
  • Drive continuous improvement of the project management process to enhance project delivery efficiency, effectiveness, and quality
  • Monitor and evaluate project performance against key metrics, including scope, schedule, budget, and quality, and take corrective actions as necessary
  • Provide intellectual and thought leadership to the team to ensure the highest quality of analytical and strategic output
  • Identify value creation opportunities in each client situation, ensuring that strategic initiatives translate into measurable business impact
  • Manage and ensure execution of quantitative and qualitative analyses of business processes
  • Build and maintain consensus with clients on case goals, critical issues, workplan, implications, recommendations, and implementation plan.
  • Coordinate initiatives and oversee project management processes, standards and governance to ensure project delivers value according to timeline and quality standards
  • Contribute to the key firm building initiatives (Practice/Capability area knowledge building and IP generation, Training, Recruiting, Mentorship, office initiatives, etc.)

ABOUT YOU

Education

  • Required: Bachelor's degree preferably in Business Administration, Computer Science / Engineering, Information management or other tech-related fields
  • Preferred: MBA, courses in digital/tech transformation

Experience

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)
  • 8+ years experience in consulting, a start-up or other business environment, preferably within the Tech industry
  • Experience conducting stakeholder interviews and facilitating workshops to identify process gaps and opportunities for improvement
  • Experience with project management for large technology transformations
  • Experience collaborating with other vendors (e.g., IBM, Accenture)
  • Knowledge, skills and abilities
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices in program management, process improvement, and risk management to deliver tangible results and value through project management expertise
  • Experience delivering large platforms e.g., SAP S/4HANA; Oracle ERP; Temenos with deep knowledge of associated platform processes and capabilities.
  • Proficient problem-solving skills utilizing logical reasoning, creative thinking, numerical proficiency, and adeptness at unravelling intricate technology problems
  • Adept at bridging software and systems expertise with business leadership requirements
  • Proven leadership capabilities and enthusiasm with starting new endeavors, whether in professional or extracurricular contexts.
  • Ability to prepare and present project deliverables to key decision-makers, articulating insights and recommendations clearly
  • Experience defining, measuring, and tracking ROI and value associated with migration milestones
  • Familiarity with change management techniques to assist the client in sustaining changes to business operations.
  • Experience identifying and raising roadblocks, delays, and risks to senior stakeholders proactively as well as ability to articulate mitigation steps and any associated trade-offs
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills, effective collaboration, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective management of team across all levels, fostering collaboration and ensuring successful execution of project tasks and objectives
  • Robust analytical skillset, with organized and deadline-driven ways of working
  • Able to work creatively and efficiently, leveraging and testing new project management tools, automation, and collaboration platforms to deliver work faster and at higher quality.
