Intuitive Surgical in Mexicali, Mexico is seeking a Senior Director of Manufacturing Engineering to lead the manufacturing engineering organization across our Mexico operations, delivering world-class capability, operational excellence, and scalable growth.

You will define strategy, develop leaders, drive automation, digital manufacturing, and cross-functional alignment with Global Manufacturing, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure quality, productivity, and cost performance.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 20+ years of progressive manufacturing engineering or operations leadership.
• 10+ years leading large multi-layer engineering organizations.
• Experience developing engineering operating models, KPI systems, and organizational transformation.
• Experience managing large operating and capital budgets.
• Medical device or other highly regulated manufacturing experience preferred.
• Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and regulated manufacturing expertise.

Responsabilidades

• Define and execute the multi-year Manufacturing Engineering strategy supporting Mexico operations.
• Develop the engineering operating model required to support business growth, new technologies, and manufacturing scale.
• Lead engineering participation in strategic planning and long-range capacity planning.
• Build and lead a high-performing, multi-layer engineering organization.
• Develop succession plans, leadership capability, and technical career paths.
• Coach Directors, Managers, and senior technical leaders.
• Drive improvements in productivity, yield, equipment reliability, automation, and cost.
• Own engineering operating budget, capital planning, and resource allocation.
• Drive adoption of automation, robotics, digital manufacturing, AI-enabled process optimization, and Industry 4.0 capabilities.
