Placements24 is seeking a Deep Learning Specialist with a computer vision focus to develop AI models for image recognition, object detection, and scene understanding. The role is based in Cancún, Quintana Roo, with a hybrid work model.

You will design, train, and evaluate DL models, analyze large image datasets, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy solutions. A Master’s or PhD in a quantitative field, strong Python skills, and experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch are required.

About the Role

Our client, a leader in innovative technology solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Deep Learning Specialist with expertise in Computer Vision to join our advanced R&D team. This role is central to developing state-of-the-art AI models for image recognition, object detection, and scene understanding. You will be instrumental in pushing the boundaries of artificial intelligence, contributing to projects that have significant real-world applications. Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and train deep learning models for computer vision tasks such as image classification, object detection, segmentation, and tracking. Develop and optimize convolutional neural networks (CNNs) and other deep learning architectures. Process and analyze large image and video datasets, ensuring data quality and relevance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and integrate AI solutions into products. Conduct research into novel deep learning techniques and their application to computer vision challenges. Evaluate model performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement enhancements. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in deep learning, computer vision, and AI research. Document code, algorithms, and experimental results clearly and thoroughly. Present technical findings and project progress to stakeholders and the wider team. Contribute to the overall AI strategy and roadmap of the company.

Requirements

Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related quantitative field. Proven experience (3+ years) in developing and deploying deep learning models, with a specialization in computer vision. Strong programming skills in Python and experience with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras. Solid understanding of computer vision principles and algorithms. Experience with image processing libraries (e.g., OpenCV, Pillow). Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and GPU acceleration is advantageous. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills. Strong communication and collaboration abilities. Ability to work independently and manage multiple project timelines. Portfolio of relevant projects or publications is highly desirable.
