Medtronic plc in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, is seeking an Engineering Technician II (Facilities) to support inventory management, asset control, and facilities administration. The role includes procurement processes, invoicing, vendor follow-up, and document management, with GMP and safety responsibilities in regulated environments.

You will assist engineers with testing, data collection, and process improvements, monitor instruments, analyze malfunctions, and prepare reports.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or a similar field.
  • Experience in medical industries.
  • Experience in inventory management and facilities control.
  • Knowledge of procurement, invoicing, and vendor document control.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Fluent English.

Responsabilidades

  • Provide technical support to engineers to improve cycle-time, yield, quality, safety and GMP compliance.
  • Monitor instruments and collect data for on-line adjustments.
  • Analyze malfunctions and deviations in instruments and control systems.
  • Prepare reports using salvage tracking, trends and root-cause analyses.
  • Coordinate procurement, invoicing, and vendor follow-up.

Your unique talents will help shape the future of healthcare while building a career grounded in purpose, growth, and impact.# **A Day in the Life**We are seeking a professional with experience in inventory management, control of assets and facilities, and administrative processes related to procurement, invoicing, and vendor follow-up. The role includes responsibility for document management, support to internal users, and assistance in safety, quality, and GMP-related activities within regulated environments Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.* Provides technical support to engineers to achieve improvements in cycle-time, yield, unit cost, quality, safety and compliance of production and operations processes and products.* Monitors instruments and equipment and collects operating data, including calibration, inspection, testing and repair activities, to assist in making on-line adjustments to instruments, equipment, or products.* Analyzes and resolves malfunctions and deviations of instruments and control systems to identify and resolve problems.* Conducts, analyses and prepares reports using metrics from salvage tracking, trending, reporting and root-cause analyses.* Maintains process designs to optimize process, equipment and facility use while conforming to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). **TECHNICIAN SUPPORT CAREER STREAM:**Provides technical support in areas such as production, operations, maintenance, safety, testing, process improvement or product development. Uses schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions or defined plans to perform testing and troubleshooting on electronic or mechanical components, equipment or systems. Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data using established formulae and procedures, and performs detailed mathematical calculations. For higher levels, may suggest and/or make improvements to optimize work processes.**DIFFERENTIATING FACTORS****Autonomy:**Established and productive individual contributor, working under moderate supervision. Performs tests, interprets data and develops reports.**Organizational Impact:**Performs intermediate technical activities requiring judgment and decision-making.
