We are seeking a highly qualified Engineering Manager to join our team at Amphenol Mexicali. This position is crucial for directing and managing the manufacturing engineering team, ensuring the achievement of production and quality objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Direct and manage the manufacturing engineering team.
  • Lead the engineering departments.
  • Be responsible for all aspects of manufacturing support, such as equipment utilization, waste reduction, process control, commissioning and training processes, customer corrective actions, etc.
  • Support the production departments in executing the manufacturing plan to achieve sales goals.
  • Utilize a combination of technical and project management skills to direct capital investment and manage process improvements at the Mexicali facility.
  • Develop and lead manufacturing technology advancement projects for cost reduction and quality improvement, with a specific focus on process improvement and automation efficiency.
  • Participate in the product development process to evaluate process paths and design for manufacturability.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of visual factory tools and monitor their effectiveness.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of standard work instructions as a continuous training tool.
  • Be extensively involved in guiding root cause analysis and solution development/implementation.
  • Manage and execute the plant's Capital Improvement budget.
  • Manage and execute the plant's Cost Reduction Productivity Improvement plan.
  • Provide support for ramp-up operations.
Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Robotics, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in oral and written English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in tool design.
  • Experience in automated equipment programming.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
