Hussmann is seeking an Electrical Engineer to develop and implement power and control solutions for Hussmann Krack-branded products, focusing on electrical design, NPI, sustaining, and operations support.

The role involves problem solving, translating customer needs into functional electrical solutions, and contributing to next-generation product platforms with strong emphasis on refrigeration system design and component validation.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years’ experience with electronic components implementation and validations.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).

Responsabilidades

• Develop new electrical solutions meeting customer and regulatory requirements, including component selection and sizing.
• Maintain knowledge of electrical components strategies and systems and their impact on product operation.
• Lead Electronics-related initiatives and key customer launches.
• Create project plans, tasks and deliverables with timely updates.
• Collaborate with suppliers to understand system capabilities and influence future development.
• Mentor team members to grow electronics knowledge.
• Create electrical diagrams, power & control drawings, and 3D models.
• Review and update engineering documentation and drawings.
• Support manufacturing, quality and lab teams to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Engage in ongoing technical learning in mechanical and electrical engineering.

Resumen

Responsible for the development and implementation of engineering power & control solutions related to the electrical design of Hussmann Krack-branded products, including NPI, sustaining, and operations support. The Electrical Engineer will solve complex problems and participate in the specification, design, and test for the next generation product platform. He/She will contribute to the next generation product design by developing a deep understanding of customer needs and translating them into functional solutions to provide safe and effective products.

Responsabilidades

• Developing new electrical solutions that meet all customer and regulatory requirements, including proper component selection, sizing, protection, and conformance with industry standards.
• Maintain a strong knowledge of electrical components strategies and systems, including legacy systems, and their impact on the operation of our products.
• Serve as project lead on key Electronics related initiatives. Examples include new controller introduction, key customer launches and high complexity projects.
• Create and communicate project plans, tasks and deliverables and manage time to meet project deadlines. This includes reporting pertinent information at key milestones through clear, concise oral and written communications.
• Partner with key electronic suppliers to understand system capabilities, resolve customer concerns, and to influence future development.
• Mentor other members of the Engineering team to aid in the development of their electronics knowledge.
• Creation of electrical diagrams, power & control drawings, specifications, and creation of 3D models.
• Review and update engineering documentation, including product, parts and electrical drawings, electrical wiring diagrams, instructions/MOA´s.
• Support Manufacturing, Quality and Laboratory teams to ensure products are built and tested according to engineering specifications.
• Engage in continuous and personalized learning programs to broaden technical knowledge in mechanical engineering, thermodynamics, and electrical engineering.

Requirements

• Bachelor´s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• +5 years’ experience electronic components implementation, validations and related applications.
• Must speak and write fluent English.

Must Possess The Following Skills/competencies

• Knowledge and hands on experience with using electronic components in refrigeration or HVAC or other related industry.
• Experience in validating electronic components, subcomponents and circuiting.
• Ability to draft on CAD, minimum requirements in drafting proficiency shall include the ability to create from scratch and edit existing 3D drawings.
• Experience with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Solid Edge, AutoCAD (Similar 3D CAD software).
• Experience with Bill of Material Structures and Engineering Change processes.
• Technical understanding of refrigeration system design, electrical and electronic component functionality.
