Job summary

Intellectt Inc. is seeking an experienced Electro Mechanical Engineer for an onsite contract in Corregidora, Mexico.

The role focuses on MV switchgear/switchboard design and manufacturing, coordinating with Siemens teams across locations and supporting electrical design, drawings, and project delivery. The candidate should have 8+ years in electrical engineering with strong MV experience and familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical, E-Base, and SAP/ERP.

Responsibilities

• Design and review MV switchgear/control gear electrical systems, including diagrams.
• Interpret General Arrangement, Front View, and Internal View drawings for MV switchboards.
• Develop wiring diagrams for CTs, VTs, CPTs, relays, metering devices, and control components.
• Review BOMs and specifications to resolve electrical design issues.
• Coordinate with Siemens engineering teams to meet project requirements.
• Coordinate with offshore teams and provide technical training.
• Support manufacturing with electrical design and wiring-related issues.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable ANSI, IEEE, UL, IEC, and NEMA standards.

Job Summary: Looking for an experienced Electrical / Electro-Mechanical Engineer with strong expertise in Medium Voltage (MV) switchgear/switchboard design and manufacturing. The candidate will be part of the MV design team and will coordinate with Siemens teams in Mexico, India, and the USA to support electrical design, manufacturing, technical issues, drawing revisions, and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and review MV switchgear/control gear electrical systems, including three-line diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Interpret General Arrangement, Front View, and Internal View drawings for MV switchboards.
• Develop and review wiring diagrams for CTs, VTs, CPTs, protective relays, metering devices, terminals, and control components.
• Select appropriate electrical components, wire sizes, terminals, wire markers, and labels based on engineering specifications.
• Review BOMs, specifications, schematics, and technical documentation to resolve electrical design issues.
• Perform quality checks of power and control circuits against three-line diagrams and schematic drawings.
• Create and manage redlines, drawing revisions, and engineering changes resulting from manufacturing or customer requirements.
• Coordinate with Siemens engineering teams to resolve technical queries and ensure project requirements are met.
• Coordinate with offshore engineering teams, provide technical guidance/training, and communicate Siemens requirements.
• Support manufacturing teams with electrical design and wiring-related technical issues.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable ANSI, IEEE, UL, IEC, and NEMA standards.
• Coordinate project activities and effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 8+ years of Electrical Engineering experience.
• 8+ years of Medium Voltage (MV) experience Mandatory.
• Strong experience in MV switchgear/switchboard manufacturing Mandatory.
• Previous experience working as part of an MV electrical design team.
• Experience in electrical design and engineering for power distribution equipment.
• Previous Coordinator / Lead experience.
• Strong knowledge of MV three-line diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Experience with power and control circuit wiring.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical or similar electrical design tools.
• Experience with E-Base is preferred.
• Experience with SAP/ERP systems and complex engineering BOMs.
• Strong knowledge of electrical components, wire sizing, terminals, relays, metering, and protection devices.
• Good Microsoft Office skills.

Preferred Experience

• ANSI, IEEE, UL, IEC, and NEMA standards.
• Manufacturing-floor technical support and quality inspections.
• Redlining and engineering drawing revisions.
• Customer change and manufacturing change management.
• Offshore/global team coordination and technical training.
• Experience with Siemens, ABB, Schneider, Eaton, or similar MV equipment.
