A consulting firm in Querétaro, Mexico, is seeking an Electrical Specialist to manage Energy Isolation procedures and ensure compliance with safety policies. The role requires an electrical or safety engineer with over 5 years of experience, particularly in Data Center construction. Formación

• Strong ability to interpret line drawings and system redundancies to ensure LOTO effectiveness and MS compliance.
• Familiar with multiple energy sources.

Responsabilidades

• Manage an Energy Isolation assurance process.
• Ensure compliance with safety policy requirements.
• Work with teams to close gaps identified in audits.
• Ensure the approval process for Energy Isolation procedures is in place.
• Collaborate with the Authorizing Energy Marshal to establish an Energy Isolation Permit process.
• Review SoWs, MOPs, and Scripts; identify all energy sources.
• Determine if LOTO is required; coordinate central LOTO with the Authorizing Energy Marshal.
• Verify qualifications, training, and PPE of personnel performing the work.
• Delegate qualified alternates for multi-shift and peak energization times.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Role Description

The Energy Marshal is an assurance role that helps ensure the vendors' and contractors' Energy Isolation Program meets or exceeds any safety policy requirements and is stood up by the Authorizing Energy Marshal.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize SPS-101 Energy Isolation SPS and SPS-101 Energy Isolation Guidebook as the baseline and foundation of the Energy Isolation Program that is implemented throughout the campus and project
• Establishes and manages an Energy Isolation assurance process and works with site teams to close any gaps identified in assurance audits. Alignment Checklist SPS 101 Energy Isolation is provided as a reference/guideline
• Participate in High-Risk Activity (HRA) planning meetings associated with Energy Isolation
• Ensures the approval process for proposed Energy Isolation procedures is in place
• Work with the Authorizing Energy Marshal to establish an Energy Isolation Permit process
• Ensures SoWs, MOPs, and Scripts are reviewed, and all sources of energy are identified
• Helps determine if a group or individual LOTO will be required. Establishes with the Authorizing Energy Marshal a centralized LOTO with all site entities
• Ensures a process is established that verifies qualifications, training, and PPE of personnel performing the work
• Delegates alternate that are qualified to assume roles during multi-shift and peak energization time frames
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications/ Relevant Experience

• Electrical or safety engineer with 5+ years of experience working with electrical equipment and installations
• Experience in Data Center construction and commissioning standards and practices a plus
• Knowledge of relevant construction technologies
• Strong ability to interpret line drawings and system redundancies to ensure the design of LOTO systems is 100% effective and in compliance with MS standards
• Familiar with multiple energy sources
• Team player with the ability to communicate verbally and in writing
• Organized and detail oriented
