is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to design, develop and validate electrical systems for commercial refrigeration products. You will create schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and participate in NPI activities, working with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, cost-efficient solutions. The role requires hands-on experience with CAD tools, ECOs and PLM, plus knowledge of UL/IEC/NEC standards and strong English

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 3+ years of electrical product design experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and control systems.
• Familiarity with ECO, PLM and BOM processes.
• Understanding of DF manufacturing and DFA principles.
• Knowledge of UL, IEC and NEC standards.

We're Hiring | Electrical Design Engineer

Are you passionate about designing innovative electrical systems and developing products that make a real impact? We are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join our Design Engineering team and contribute to the development of high-quality commercial refrigeration solutions.

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a key role throughout the product development lifecycle—from concept and design to validation and production launch—while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver reliable, cost-effective, and innovative products.

Main Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate electrical systems for new and existing products.
• Create and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, electrical layouts, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from concept through production.
• Evaluate and select electrical components based on functionality, quality, cost, and availability.
• Prepare engineering documentation, specifications, test plans, and design reports.
• Participate in design reviews, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
• Troubleshoot electrical design issues and provide technical support to Manufacturing, Quality, and Operations.
• Collaborate with Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Product Management to ensure successful product implementation.
• Ensure compliance with UL, IEC, NEC, and other applicable industry standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on product performance, manufacturability, reliability, and cost optimization.
• Support prototype builds, product testing, and validation activities.
• Analyze field issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in electrical product design within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control systems.
• Knowledge of electrical components such as power supplies, relays, contactors, sensors, motors, transformers, and protection devices.
• Experience with AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, SolidWorks Electrical, or similar CAD software.
• Familiarity with Engineering Change Orders (ECO), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), and Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
• Knowledge of electrical safety standards, including UL, IEC, and NEC.
• Experience supporting product validation and verification testing.
• Intermediate to advanced English communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in commercial refrigeration, HVAC, or industrial equipment design.
• Knowledge of embedded controls, PLCs, or electronic control systems.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience working in cross-functional global engineering teams.
