The successful candidate will ensure compliance with legal requirements and lead initiatives for continuous improvement in EHS performance. A Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field along with 3+ years of experience in a similar position is required. Formación

  • 3+ years of experience in similar position.
  • Experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Desired ISO 14001 lead auditor certification.

Role Overview

The EHS Leader will be responsible to manage and implement safety, environmental and hygiene standards that support the work process in site. Ensure legal compliance with Federal, Local and Internal Regulations and organization internal directives.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the critical safety and health programs implementation to achieve zero incidents and foster the safety culture in site to support business continuity.
  • Maintain the EHS Management Systems of ISO14001, to fully comply with the requirements.
  • Identify, evaluate, and control risks to drive improvements in EHS performance and production efficiency.
  • Ensure facility standards are in compliance with Governmental, Local and internal Directives.
  • Act as the main point of contact on all EHS matters, internally and externally.
  • Lead recordable and no recordable incidents investigations to drive a continuous improvement in the operation.
  • Manage relationship with Third Party Contractors onsite (Security and Medical Services)
  • Provide advice and guidance to facility leadership on the application and interpretation of regulations, acts and / requirements related to EHS
  • Developing and implementing EHS plans aligned with global company goals.
  • Partner with manufacturing leaders to proactively address ergonomic and other risk factors present in the facility.
  • Implement and manage security programs throughout the site, ensure effective safety and hygiene practices, manage risks and risks control.
  • Ensure the availability of suitable material, resource and safety equipment across the business unit required for the effective operation of HSE regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor industrial hygiene program.
  • Carry out and lead internal, external, and regulatory risk assessments / audits / inspections, as required.
  • Ensure systemic and safe Management of Change Process
  • Ensure contractor activities compliance with the safety and environmental standards according to the legal requirements applicable
Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering or EHS field
  • Experience in manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of experience in similar position
Critical Competencies
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
  • Working knowledge with Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems : ISO 14001 (must), ISO 45001(desirable).
  • Have clear concept and understanding of EHS Mexican Regulations Requirements (STPS, SEMARNAT, SCT)
  • Experience as a EHS Leader in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated experience managing a team, change management and project management.
  • Hands‑On Problem Solver: Conduct audits, lead investigations, and ensure corrective actions are implemented and sustained.
  • Desired ISO 14001 lead auditor certification
  • Evidence of working with and implementing continuous improvement tools and techniques (Risk analysis and identification regarding Safety and environmental aspects or impacts, accidents investigations methodology tools, root-cause analysis
