The EHS Coordinator is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of environmental, health, and safety programs in compliance with local, state, federal, and customer requirements. This role will promote a strong safety culture, conduct risk assessments, lead training initiatives, and support incident investigations to ensure a safe and sustainable working environment

Evaluation and Analysis Activities
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies governing EHS standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk & hazard assessments on the production floor.
- Lead and coordinate the site’s incident investigation process, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
- Support TECMA in maintaining and updating the facility’s EHS documentation, compliance reports, and permits.
- Develop and deliver EHS-related training/awareness programs (e.g., PPE usage, Lockout/Tagout, ergonomics, chemical handling, emergency response) promoting a culture of prevention.
- Coordinate waste management and recycling programs to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Partner with operations and maintenance teams to implement safe work practices and process improvements.
- Support TECMA during internal and external EHS audits and inspections.
- Monitor air quality, noise levels, and other environmental factors within the facility as needed.
- Perform related duties and activities as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the organization.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in an EHS role, in a world class manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 management systems is a plus.
- Strong understanding of OSHA/NOM/STPS regulations and environmental compliance standards.
- Experience with hazardous materials handling, emergency response planning, and safety data sheets.
- Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to influence and collaborate across departments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- 80% English (can read and write), Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to comfortably work with various levels of management.
