Ford Motor Company está buscando un Ingeniero de EDS Low Voltage para diseñar y industrializar arneses y liderar mejoras de rendimiento y costo. El cargo implica liberación de piezas y tareas de verificación a lo largo del ciclo de vida del producto, con enfoque en calidad y robustez.

Se requiere ingeniería eléctrica o mecánica, dominio del inglés y experiencia en CAD 3D y Teamcenter. Se ofrece oportunidad en un entorno automotriz y trabajo en planta, con viaje ocasional y horario de planta.

Formación

• Ingeniería eléctrica o mecánica o disciplinas afines.
• Fuerte dominio del inglés escrito y oral.
• Conocimientos básicos en CAD 3D y Teamcenter.
• Dominio de Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Visio).
• Gestión de tiempo y de proyectos.
• Conocimiento de Ford GPDS.
• Entendimiento de partición de funciones.
• Conocimiento de sistemas automotrices.
• Uso de IA como herramienta de mejora de procesos.

Responsabilidades

• Diseñar arneses de cableado cumpliendo costos, peso, calidad, rendimiento y plazos.
• 4 días en sitio en GTBC FORD MÉXICO (NAUCALPAN).
• Cumplir con disciplinas de robustez (calidad, P-Diagram, FMEA).
• Liderar revisiones técnicas de diseño (TDRs).
• Liberar piezas en FEDEBOM y WERS durante el ciclo de vida del producto.
• Auditar y actualizar la BOM con niveles de pieza correctos.
• Identificar pruebas de validación y durabilidad necesarias.
• Proponer mejoras de diseño y reducción de costos.
• Desarrollar tablas de complejidad de construcción.

Descripción del trabajo - EDS Low Voltage Industrialization Engineer

The Electrical Distribution Systems Design and Release (D&R) Engineer is responsible for the design, development, validation, release and industrialization of the wiring harnesses under their responsibility. The EDS D&R is also responsible for design improvements that lead to quality increase, cost and weight optimization.

Responsibilities

• Design wiring harnesses complying with program cost, weight, quality, performance, and timing targets.
• 4 days on site in GTBC FORD MÉXICO (NAUCALPAN)
• Complies with Robustness Engineering Disciplines (Quality history, P-Diagram, FMEA, etc.) ensuring compliance to requirements and specifications.
• Knowledge and application of six sigma and 8D
• Leads Technical Design Reviews (TDRs)
• Release parts in FEDEBOM and WERS through the product life cycle. Support the Change Control Meeting.
• Audit and update BOM (Bill of Material) with correct part levels and usage, for prototype builds and maintain it post Job 1.
• Identify validation, durability and functional test required as per requirements and specifications. (DVP / FEDE DVP dashboard)
• Issue resolution in Digital and Build Phases of Product Development.
• Analyze and break down Program Direction Letter and Trim Spiders to account for EDS.
• Generate proposals to minimize giveaway cost and reduce total part count.
• Generate design optimization proposals utilizing benchmarking.
• Develop and maintain the build level complexity charts.
• Perform Harness Complexity Analysis.
• Perform engineering cost estimates.
• Define and verify engineering prototypes requirements at part level.
• Parts implementation/Sign-off in manufacturing and assembly plants assisting quality issue resolution in all milestones.
• Support prototype and production build events for forward model programs.
• Support quality and manufacturing quality forums s required.
• Comply with GPDS deliverables (applicable to EDS) for each milestone.
• Submit invention disclosures, process improvements and best practices.
• Comply with training as outlined in calendar year objectives

Qualifications

• Engineering Degree (electrical, mechanical desirable) or related disciplines.
• Strong English Proficiency (written, read, and oral).
• Basic 3D CAD and Teamcenter tool knowledge
• Microsoft Office Usage (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio).
• Time and Project Management.
• Ford GPDS.
• Understanding of feature partitioning.
• Understanding of automotive systems.
• Usage of AI as a tool for process improvements.
