A leading digital solutions provider in Mexico seeks a Dubbing Script QC to oversee the quality and formatting of translated scripts. The ideal candidate will possess strong English and Spanish communication skills, at least 2 years of experience in a similar role, and the ability to manage complex projects under pressure. This role demands attention to detail and organizational skills, with opportunities to lead teams.

Formación

  • Very good communication skills in English and Spanish, both written and verbal.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related position.

Responsabilidades

  • Check fluency, translation, terms and nuances of translated scripts.
  • Manage projects of intermediate-high complexity.
  • Compile and send instructions and feedback to Head of QC.
  • Resolve technical issues during projects.
  • Lead and coordinate with in-house teams and freelancers.

The Dubbing Script QC will be in charge of the correction of translated scripts and formatting of the scripts to send for recording.

Overview

The Dubbing Script QC will be in charge of the correction of translated scripts and formatting of the scripts to send for recording.

Responsibilities
  • Check fluency, translation, terms and nuances of translated scripts.
  • Perform translation tasks if needed.
  • Manage projects of intermediate-high complexity, or greater depending on the team’s needs.
  • Deliver according to the deadline set for each file/project.
  • Compile and send clear instructions and feedback to Head of QC according to each clients’ requests.
  • Access, download, organize and check material.
  • Resolve any technical issues or doubts that might arise during the project.
  • Receive and verify files according to the standards.
  • Register all the necessary information depending on the workflow in different shared tools within departments.
  • Complete all other tasks that are deemed appropriate for this role and assigned by the manager/supervisor.
  • Be able to lead and coordinate with both in-house team and freelancers.

Required Experience and Qualifications
  • Knowledge of the translation industry (Audiovisual field would be a plus).
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent related to languages, translations, audiovisual field or similar.
  • At least 2 years of experience on a related position.
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Computer savvy. (Knowledge of any subtitling software is a plus)
  • Knowledge of the following languages would be an asset: Portuguese, Japanese or Korean.
