Job summary

Micron Technology in Mexico is seeking a DRAM Product Engineer Yield & Quality Intern to support ramp preparation, silicon data analysis, and yield improvement activities. You will partner with design, manufacturing, and QA teams to optimize test flows and ensure quality, while communicating across departments.

The internship offers hands-on experience in DRAM technology development, silicon validation, and cross-functional project coordination.

Qualifications

• Minimum of junior status in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering (Final year as Jan 27).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Basic understanding of DRAM architecture and operation.
• Good understanding of digital circuit concepts.
• Familiarity with Linux/UNIX.
• Experience with Python/C++/C.
• Good verbal communication skills (English).
• Ability to establish and maintain good relationships with colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Support new product introduction with design, manufacturing, and yield teams to prepare for DRAM product ramps.

Job Description

As a DRAM Product Engineer Yield & Quality (Intern) at Micron, you will immerse yourself in a dynamic team dedicated to tackling complex challenges head-on. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure Micron's products make it to market seamlessly. This encompasses evaluating initial silicon and validating design functionality at both the DRAM component and module levels, leveraging the latest technology from our customers. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with our manufacturing teams to optimize test flows, ensuring both yield and quality are maximized. As a Product Engineer, you will act as a crucial liaison between Technology Development, Design, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance departments, facilitating smooth communication and coordination across these key areas.

Responsibilities

• Support new product introduction by partnering with design, manufacturing, and yield teams to prepare for DRAM product ramps, including simulations, forecasting, and documentation.
• Analyze silicon data, perform failure analysis, and drive root cause identification and corrective actions to improve yield and quality performance.
• Develop and maintain yield tracking systems (paretos), identify improvement opportunities, and prioritize actions to meet performance targets.
• Coordinate multi-functionally with Product, Test, QA, and Manufacturing teams to ensure alignment on product objectives, timelines, and quality expectations.
• Deliver technical presentations, analyze trends and experimental data, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across product and process performance.

Minimum Qualifications

• A self-motivated, enthusiastic team player who enjoys working with others
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Basic understanding of DRAM architecture and operation
• Good understanding of digital circuit concepts
• Knowledge of CMOS transistor operation
• Experience with a programing language such as Python/C++/C
• Familiarity with Linux/UNIX
• Good verbal communication skills (English)
• Ability to establish and maintain good relationships with colleagues

• Experience with semiconductor manufacturing, yield analysis, or product engineering concepts.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.

• Curiosity about continuous learning and improving processes, products, and methodologies.
