AbbVie is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to drive growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities. You will lead multi-brand sales teams, coach field personnel, and collaborate with marketing to execute effective strategies.

The role requires a strong track record in pharma sales, leadership, and relationship building, with the ability to travel up to 50% and navigate cross-functional environments.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience in pharma sales, business development, or sales management.
  • Strong leadership and cross-functional coaching ability.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and data-driven decision making.

  • Lead and coach multi-brand sales teams; set targets and incentives.
  • Ensure ongoing field training and knowledge across medical/technical areas.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and align In Field and Brand activities.
  • Align district priorities with brand strategy and national priorities.
  • Export market intelligence to improve brand strategy and execution.

Job Description

The sales manager plays a critical role in driving the growth and success of the company. They must be proactive, strategic, and results-driven, with a strong focus on building and maintaining relationships with potential clients. This position requires a combination of business acumen, sales expertise, and excellent communication skills to effectively identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities.

Purpose

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities . They will play a crucial role in driving the growth and success of the organization by expanding its customer base. The new business manager will work closely with the sales IFT and marketing teams to develop and execute effective strategies to attract and acquire new clients.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver sales performance and relevant Brands’ Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to meet or exceed district sales plan within expense budgets.
  • Optimize resource utilization by leading, developing, and coaching multi-brand Sales Team performance including setting sales targets and incentive schemes, managing Sales Force. Management Systems and KPIs to continuously improve district sales performance.
  • Ensure regular updates on Sales Team skills in terms of medical, technical, and special in-field knowledge areas.
  • Professionally manage cross functional cooperation, lead, manage and coordinate effective multidisciplinary In Field Teams (including Key Account Management) and ensure strategic and tactical alignment between In Field and Brand Team activities including timely and qualitative market intelligence information flow between In Field, Brand Teams and Sales Function to optimize brand strategy and its execution.
  • Ensure district priorities, activities and engagement plans are aligned with brand strategy and national strategic priorities to optimize strategic momentum and drive brand success.
  • Monitor and consolidate the outcomes of regional engagement and account plans to feed the brand planning process and to anticipate market needs and/or changes
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of success within pharma sales, business development or sales management in at least one therapeutic area, preferably in Immunology,
  • Proven track record of successful leadership, management and coaching cross functionally or functional individuals and teams
  • Strong knowledge of sales and marketing principles and strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to conduct market research and analyze data.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a strong drive to achieve targets and exceed expectations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of territory and relationships with key stakeholders already established
  • Ability to build strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and other relevant stakeholders
  • Ability to think and plan strategically (work plans, activities, timetables, targeting) and operating with execution excellence
  • Availability to travel by 50%
