Job summary

FTI Consulting is seeking a Director of Communications in Mexico City to lead client programs, drive business development, and contribute to strategic communications strategies for clients and the firm.

You will manage multiple accounts, draft high-quality materials, mentor junior staff, and help grow the practice through new business opportunities and thought leadership in a fast-paced, global consultancy environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years post-graduate experience.
• B.S. degree in communications, journalism, public affairs or related field.
• Advanced level of English (written and spoken).
• Proven experience driving corporate communications and/or public affairs programs for regional, national and international clients
• Crisis, issues and/or business risk management experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day tactical program management for multiple client accounts.
• Write and edit materials for clients (strategy memos and plans, press releases, Q&A, media pitches, web content).
• Master understanding of client information, including business strategy, services, stakeholders and competitive landscape.
• Assist with ongoing program measurement and progress report development.
• Support billing procedures to ensure timely and accurate delivery of client invoices.
• Maintain solid relationships with clients and identify emerging opportunities to add more value.
• Develop plans for business development, with particular emphasis on driving new business efforts.
• Participate in new business pursuits, which could include conducting research, developing proposals and pitching FTI’s services.
• Support the development, production and marketing of thought leadership surrounding emerging trends and issues.
• Help to mentor and provide constructive feedback for interns and consultants.
• Identify resource needs and work with managers to assign individual and group responsibilities.
