Position Summary
As a Director, Product Supply Chain, you will act as the primary owner and interface between the Supply Chain organization and Business Unit leadership. Operating at executive levels in the organization, you will work in partnership with BU Product Management, BU PLM (Product Lifecycle Management), Engineering and other key stakeholders to establish and own the overall supply chain operating model for a business unit, with significant impact and influence on Product Bookings, Revenue, Margin, growth and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities

Strategic Influence and Leadership
- Develop the overarching product‑facing supply chain strategy, including recommendations and influence over key decision points such as cost, quality, delivery, risk, resiliency, network strategy, portfolio prioritization, and more.
- Negotiate and influence senior executives and decision‑makers to secure cross‑functional support for supply chain objectives and initiatives.
- Serve as a strategic trusted partner to business unit leaders and executives, addressing high‑priority supply chain challenges and strategic questions.
- Provide vision, strategy, and direction to address complex business challenges, leveraging advanced analytical thought and innovative methods.

Mentorship and Leadership Development
- Provide mentorship and guidance beyond direct reports, extending leadership influence across the organization.
- Drive quality considerations and standards across teams, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.

Program and Performance Ownership
- Co‑Own and drive key supply chain metrics, including Product Costs, Time to Market, Quality, Resiliency, and Readiness for assigned products and programs.
- Monitor, align and support sustaining activities throughout the product lifecycle, from NPI through EOL (End of Life) management, cost reduction, resilience improvements, and technology refresh initiatives.

Escalation Management and Risk Mitigation
- Participate in cross‑functional teams to address material and production related challenges that limit production output, ensuring revenue achievement risks are mitigated.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks in supply chain operations, driving accountability and ownership across teams to mitigate these risks in the future.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration and Alignment
- Act as the primary liaison between BU Product Teams, Engineering, and Supply Chain functions to ensure alignment and effective communication.
- Establish and nurture partnerships with BU Leadership consisting of Product Management, PMO (Project Management Office), ECRT (Engineering Customer Response Team) as well as Design & Development Engineering to drive supply chain readiness and resiliency.
- Lead efforts to manage escalations and resolve challenges without requiring senior leadership intervention.

- Solve critical and complex supply chain issues, delivering innovative solutions with long‑term impact.
- Lead the development of groundbreaking methods to address future concepts, technologies, and products, ensuring a competitive edge.

Executive Reporting and Metrics
- Translate strategic objectives into actionable deliverables and provide clear direction to cross‑functional teams.
- Lead executive‑level reporting on program status, risks, and prioritization to support decision‑making.
- Actively participate in Strategic Component Team (SCT) meetings to enhance BU visibility and influence supplier and Zebra roadmaps.
Qualifications
- Minimum Education: Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Business Management or related discipline
- Minimum Work Experience: Minimum 15 years experience working across multiple supply chain disciplines

- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with senior executives and cross‑functional teams.
- Advanced presentation skills with proven comfort presenting to executive‑level audiences.
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills, particularly in areas of influence, cross‑functional collaboration, and program management fundamentals.
- Multi‑disciplinary knowledge and experience across engineering, supply chain, and business functions.
- Advanced understanding of technical aspects related to the assigned business unit (e.g., Hardware, Software, Services).

- Proven ability to manage challenging conflicts and drive alignment to achieve mutual satisfaction.
- Advanced collaborative and orchestration skills, with a focus on working through influence to achieve shared goals.

Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Professional certifications such as CSCP, CPIM, PMP, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, or SCOR certification.
- Experience in high‑tech, manufacturing, hardware, electronics, or industrial technology industries.
- Strong background working with OEM/ODM manufacturing, global suppliers, and multi‑country operations.
- Hands‑on experience supporting NPI (New Product Introduction) and coordinating with R&D and Product Management.
- Prior experience leading supply chain operations in complex, high‑mix, low‑volume environments (common in tech and hardware like Zebra).
- Exceptional ability to translate complex supply chain issues into clear business recommendations for senior leadership.
- Experience leading and mentoring large, diverse, and global teams.
- Strong influence management—ability to align executive stakeholders with strategic decisions.
- High emotional intelligence and a customer‑centric mindset.
