A Day in Your Life at MKS:

As the Director of the Supply Chain Global Competency Center at MKS, you will lead the strategic development of the Americas Supply Chain Hub in Querétaro, transforming it into a multi‑functional center of excellence. This hands‑on leadership role balances procurement operations with broader supply chain activities—including planning, logistics, and digital transformation. You will partner cross‑functionally and act as the single point of contact linking the Querétaro center with MKS Corporate, ensuring alignment with global strategies while driving operational excellence, capability building, and innovation across the region.

You Will Make an Impact By:

  • Defining the strategy, structure, process, technology and transformation agenda for the SC Global Competency Center in Queretaro
  • Leading the Americas procurement, planning, and logistics functions to improve performance, standardization, and scalability
  • Provide strategic leadership and supervision across functions including New Product Introduction (NPI), Engineering Change Orders (ECO), Procurement Sustaining, Continuous Improvement, Finance, Master Data Management, VA/VE, and Information Technology
  • Drive the elevation of operational standards and performance metrics across the center
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement through the adoption of advanced technologies and best practices
  • Ensure alignment of local initiatives with global corporate strategies and objectives
  • Develop and mentor a high‑performing leadership team within the competency center
  • Oversee the implementation of process improvements and technology enablement to support scalable growth
  • Represent the center in global forums and contribute to strategic planning and execution
  • Ensure the right people at the right fit
  • Travel Requirements: Up to 20% of Travel is required.

Skills You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field; master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain operations leadership, preferably in a Tier 1 automotive or advanced manufacturing environment
  • Proven success leading regional procurement organizations and driving operational turnaround or transformation
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, cost modeling, and ERP systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English and Spanish
  • Demonstrated ability to stabilize, build, and scale organizations through process discipline and team development
  • Strategic thinker with a hands‑on operational approach and a strong sense of urgency
