A leading data solutions company is seeking a data engineer in Mérida, Yucatán. You'll be responsible for building and owning database systems, developing ETL/ELT pipelines, and creating Tableau dashboards. The ideal candidate will have 5-10+ years of experience in data or analytics engineering, with expert-level SQL and Python skills, along with strong English proficiency. This is a hands-on role that demands ownership of data infrastructure from backend to front-end reporting.

Formación

• 5–10+ years in data/analytics engineering or BI.
• Full data stack ownership experience.
• Proven track record in improving system performance.

Location: Merida, Yucatan
Reports to: CFO
Language Requirement: Bilingual (English-Spanish)

This is a hands‑on, high‑ownership technical role, not a manager who delegates. We need someone who can architect, build, and scale a clean data environment from the ground up.

What you’ll own:

• Database structure, relationships, and performance
• SQL queries, views, and data models
• ETL/ELT pipelines (built and maintained by you)
• Tableau dashboards and data sources
• A single source of truth across the company
• A team of data analysts producing quality outputs

You need these (non‑negotiable):

• Expert‑level SQL
• Strong database design — relationships, indexing, normalization
• Python for automation and data processing
• Tableau — data sources, calculations, performance
• ETL/ELT pipeline experience
• Strong English (written and spoken)

Experience we’re looking for:

• 5–10+ years in data/analytics engineering or BI (hard requirement)
• Full data stack ownership: database pipeline BI
• Track record improving system performance and reliability
• Prior team leadership or oversight
