Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Actuarial Director to lead the Monterrey actuarial department. The role oversees pricing, reserving, financial modeling, and product development, delivering strategic insights on risk and profitability.

You will manage actuaries and analysts, driving technical excellence and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate is a fully qualified actuary with 10+ years in insurance and strong leadership, analytical, and presentation abilities to influence

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Actuarial Science or related quantitative field.
Fully qualified actuary (FSA or equivalent).
10+ years actuarial experience in insurance with leadership.
Deep understanding of insurance products, markets, and regulations.
Experience with pricing, reserving, and financial risk management.
Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead the actuarial department including pricing, reserving, valuation, and forecasting.
Develop and implement actuarial models and methodologies to assess risk and profitability.
Set pricing strategies for new and existing insurance products.
Oversee reserves calculation and monitoring for claims and liabilities.
Present complex actuarial findings to senior management and external stakeholders.
Mentor staff and ensure regulatory compliance across the team.
Collaborate with underwriting, claims, and finance to align strategies.
