Siemens Energy is looking for a finance professional dedicated to supporting its Real Estate Finance organization in Santiago de Querétaro, Mexico. This role involves driving process optimization and automation within financial operations, working closely with the NAM Finance Head to deliver accurate insights.

The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience, a Bachelor's degree in relevant fields, and strong skills in SAP and financial reporting. Opportunities for career growth and various benefits are available.

  • Solid knowledge of accounting principles, including financial statements and accrual‑based accounting.
  • Proven ability to work with large datasets and build Power Query transformations.

A Snapshot of Your Day

This role will support the Real Estate Finance (NAM) organization by driving process optimization, automation, and data‑driven efficiencies across financial and operational workflows. The position will work closely with the NAM Finance Head to deliver accurate financial insights, improve controls, and enable efficient finance processes through advanced analytics and tool development.

How You’ll Make An Impact
  • Design and implement automation and efficiency improvements across Real Estate finance reporting processes such as project cost tracking, Purchase Order (PO) commitments, and Budget vs. actual monitoring.
  • Act as a finance back‑office during monthly close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, standardization and continuous improvement of close‑related tasks to reduce cycle time and manual intervention; design and maintain data flows and connections between multiple databases and financial systems to enable reliable, scalable reporting.
  • Support the evolution of existing trackers (e.g., Project Controlling Tracker) in close collaboration with the Commercial Project Manager, driving better visibility and financial control over Real Estate projects.
  • Explore and promote the use of advanced technologies (e.g., AI use cases, Snowflake, automation platforms) to improve data accuracy, shorten reporting timelines, and enable scalable finance processes.
  • Provide back‑office support for Lease Administration, including coordination with landlords, lease‑related reconciliations, and ensuring financial and operational changes are fully aligned with lease agreements.
  • Work very closely with the NAM Finance Head, acting as a trusted partner on Real Estate financial processes, insights, and automation initiatives.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, controlling, commercial finance, or financial management roles.
  • Solid knowledge of accounting principles, including financial statements and accrual‑based accounting.
  • Strong experience with SAP, Excel, financial reporting, and financial analysis.
  • Proven ability to work with large datasets, build Power Query transformations, and develop Power BI dashboards.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a passion for process improvement and efficiency.
  • Ability to interact effectively with multiple stakeholders and build strong cross‑functional alliances.
  • Professional working proficiency in English.
  • Willingness to travel internationally up to 10 % of the time.
  • Self‑starter profile with strong problem‑solving skills and a team‑oriented mindset.

Real Estate (RE) is responsible for the professional management of Siemens Energy’s real estate portfolio worldwide, covering 3.2 million square metres. The portfolio is divided into four operational Hubs (Europe, Germany, Americas, and Rest of World). This includes the acquisition, setup, and, if needed, construction of new commercial/industrial real estate, renovations, disposition of locations, and servicing customers with a broad set of service offerings.
