Corning Incorporated in Monterrey, Mexico, seeks a Digital Transformation Engineer to convert manufacturing challenges into digital solutions using C#, SQL, and Power BI. You will build applications and dashboards, translating plant needs into technical requirements and coordinating with MES, SAP, and cross-functional teams.

The role focuses on automating activities, delivering observable improvements, and supporting testing, deployment, and documentation in a fast-paced manufacturing

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Systems Engineering, IT, CS, Industrial, Mechatronics, Electronics)
• 1–2 years in manufacturing environment with shop-floor exposure
• Hands-on C# programming experience
• Intermediate SQL skills (queries, joins, stored procedures, extraction)
• Experience building Power BI dashboards from scratch (data connections, modeling, DAX)
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills, able to translate business needs into solutions
• Intermediate English; Python/web development/MES/SAP exposure desirable, not required if strong programming/SQL/Power BI skills exist

Would you like to turn manufacturing challenges into digital solutions using C#, SQL and Power BI? Join Corning and help improve how our manufacturing teams work and use data.

What is your role?

As a Digital Transformation Engineer, you will understand manufacturing processes, develop digital solutions and transform operational data into actionable insights. You will work closely with plant teams to automate activities, build applications and dashboards, and coordinate improvements with specialized manufacturing systems teams.

Major Responsibilities And Tasks Of The Position

• Map manufacturing processes, identify improvement opportunities and develop applications and digital workflows that reduce manual activities.
• Extract, store and integrate operational data using SQL, and build Power BI dashboards with data models, DAX measures and manufacturing KPIs.
• Translate plant needs into clear requirements and coordinate solutions with MES, SAP and cross-functional teams, supporting testing, implementation and documentation.
• Support plant IT devices and work with infrastructure and network teams to resolve issues affecting manufacturing operations.

What do you need to have?

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics or a related field.
• Approximately 1–2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment, including direct interaction with shop-floor teams and processes.
• Hands-on C# programming experience and the ability to develop applications that address operational needs.
• Intermediate SQL skills, including queries, joins, stored procedures, data extraction and storage.
• Experience building Power BI dashboards from scratch, including data connections, modeling and DAX measures.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills, with ownership of deliverables and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Intermediate English with the ability to participate in work-related conversations.Python, web development, MES/SAP exposure and industrial AI or machine learning experience are desirable. Previous MES or SAP experience is not required for candidates with strong programming, SQL, Power BI and manufacturing experience.

Work location and schedule

This is an onsite position at Corning’s MTA manufacturing plant in Monterrey, Mexico.

The regular schedule is Monday through Friday
