Job purpose

BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as a Diagnostic Technician. The primary responsibilities of this role include providing technical product support to the production area and assisting with the launch of new programs. Additionally, the position supports the Quality team in resolving issues related to the electrical or mechanical behavior and design of the product. The role requires independent judgment but may receive direct guidance from the engineer. It also contributes to the ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) audit program.

Key responsibilities
  • Provide support during production line alarm triggers and report potential causes.
  • Assist in implementing changes, evaluations, and validations affecting product content.
  • Identify root causes and corrective actions related to product quality and performance.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives, cost‑saving efforts, and waste reduction projects, ensuring proper documentation.
  • Document, review, identify, and share known failure modes.
  • Responsible for installation, maintenance, and calibration of production line bench equipment.
  • Address diagnostic process needs for current and new production lines.
  • Maintain knowledge of product specifications.
  • Attend production meetings.
  • Collaborate in MRB for disposition of substitute materials/processes (MR & MRVA).
  • Complete all mandatory training on time.
  • Evaluate needs for new equipment.
What we’re looking for
  • Schooling: Technician in Electronics, Electromechanics, or related.
  • Experience Time in similar position: 5 years or more in a similar position.
  • Technical knowledge required: knowledge of electronics, microprocessors, and mechanical assemblies. Use of measurement equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, computers), interpretation of electrical/electronic diagrams.
  • Other requirements: Basic computer software knowledge, problem‑solving skills.
