Job summary

Zurich Insurance in Mexico is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to join a global DevX & DevOps team. You will operate and improve CI/CD pipelines, implement security across the pipeline, and support platform users across the Americas, with collaboration with teams in Barcelona and Hyderabad.

This hybrid role may be located in CdMx or Guadalajara at a WeWork location, offering on-call rotation and a chance to contribute to high-availability DevOps services.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, or a CI/CD-focused engineering role.
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with incident response, troubleshooting, and on-call rotations.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, Agile methodologies, and DevOps principles.
• Excellent written and spoken English; able to work with distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain DevOps infrastructure and services, ensuring availability and SLA compliance
• Respond to incidents and alerts within defined SLA targets, root cause analysis and fixes
• Manage and support CI/CD pipelines, troubleshooting, configuration, and optimization
• Perform security scanning and vulnerability assessments across DevOps services and pipelines
• Onboard new projects onto the DevOps platform and provide ongoing support to platform users
• Implement tool configurations and customizations based on team and stakeholder needs
• Maintain runbooks, escalation guides, incident records, and internal documentation
• Coordinate with global teams, ensuring comprehensive status transfer and continuity of service
• Ensure adherence to DevOps processes, standards, and best practices
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to provide weekend coverage as part of the team's 24/7 global support model

DevSecOps Engineer

At Zurich, technology is at the heart of everything we do. The DevX & DevOps team is a global center of excellence responsible for delivering and maintaining the DevOps toolchain that enables engineering teams across the organization to build, test, and ship software with speed and confidence.

As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will be part of a collaborative global team, working alongside peers in Barcelona and Hyderabad to ensure continuous, high-quality service delivery for the Americas region. You will play a hands, on role in operating and improving our CI/CD infrastructure, responding to incidents, and supporting platform users — all while embedding security practices throughout the pipeline.

This role follows a hybrid work model, could be on CdMx toreo area or GDL at WeWork Landmark.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, or a CI/CD-focused engineering role
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience
• Proven experience with incident response, troubleshooting, and on‑call rotations
• Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle, Agile methodologies, and DevOps principles
• Strong communication skills — able to work effectively with both technical and non technical stakeholders
• Collaborative, team‑first mindset with the ability to work across distributed global teams
• Excellent written and spoken English
