Stellantis NV is seeking an Development Lead Closures to drive design and process standardization for front-end sheet metal closures across global programs. The role emphasizes coaching engineers, ensuring CPCR compliance, and guiding DFMEA/DVP&R activities.

The ideal candidate will bring 8+ years in automotive closures, expertise in NX/Teamcenter, and strong cross-functional collaboration skills to support program launches and strategic planning.

Formación

  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in the automotive industry, with a focus on Closures components and systems.
  • Strong working knowledge of NX and Teamcenter (TC).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to build cross-functional relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • Understanding of EBOM, CODEP, STV, and TCR processes and interactions.

Responsabilidades

  • Capture, document, and cascade commodity-specific Lessons Learned across programs.
  • Coach and provide technical guidance to engineers, supporting the DR Engineer.
  • Ensure compliance with CPCR requirements and design/process standards.
  • Drive harmonization and standardization of documents across EMEA, LATAM, APAC.
  • Support program launches and CST and Warranty-related activities.
  • Develop and maintain DFMEA, DVP&R, and EKF guidelines and usage.
  • Review DFMEA and DVP&R docs and obtain DR/SR approvals for changes.
  • Review and approve CCDs and IAAs (initial and final).
  • Serve as system owner for assigned closure systems and processes.
  • Provide technical support to Program Chiefs, DR, and SR Engineers.
  • Conduct design reviews and ensure adherence to Closures Design Checklist.
  • Review compliance reports and implement corrective actions when needed.
  • Support strategic planning for future vehicle programs and projects.
  • Review and validate engineering rework procedures.

Development Lead Closures (FESM – Front End Sheet Metal)
Job Description
  • Responsible for capturing, documenting, and cascading commodity-specific Lessons Learned across programs.
  • Provide coaching and technical guidance to engineers, while supporting the Design Release (DR) Engineer to ensure adherence to established processes and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with CPCR requirements, as well as design and process standards and best practices.
  • Drive harmonization and standardization of engineering documents across EMEA, LATAM, and APAC regions.
  • Support successful program launches and provide assistance for Cost Reduction Steering Team (CST) and Warranty-related activities.
  • Develop and maintain core DFMEA, DVP&R, and EKF guidelines, ensuring proper implementation and utilization of these documents.
  • Review and validate DFMEA and DVP&R documentation, obtaining Design Release (DR) and Systems Release (SR) approval for any required changes.
  • Review and approve initial and final CCDs (Component Change Documents) and IAAs (Interface Agreement Approvals).
  • Serve as system owner for assigned closure systems and processes.
  • Provide technical support to Program Chiefs (PC), Design Release (DR), and Systems Release (SR) Engineers.
  • Conduct design reviews and ensure compliance with engineering best practices (e.g., Closures Design Checklist).
  • Review compliance reports and ensure corrective actions are implemented when necessary.
  • Support strategic planning activities for future vehicle programs and projects.

Basic Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical-Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in the automotive industry, with a focus on Closures components and systems.
  • Working knowledge of NX and Teamcenter (TC).
  • Strong understanding of EBOM, CODEP, STV, and TCR processes and interactions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective cross-functional relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
Preferred Qualifications
  • DFSS (Design for Six Sigma) Green Belt certification.
  • Reactive Problem Solving Green Belt certification.
  • Master's degree in Engineering or an equivalent advanced technical qualification.
