Job summary

International SOS Government Medical Services is seeking a Dental Hygienist to join an internationally based clinic on Diego Garcia. You will work with a dentist and team to deliver routine preventive services, screenings, and coordinated follow‑ups, while maintaining records and meeting safety standards.

The role requires relocation for the duration of the assignment, with eligibility for comprehensive benefits and on‑site operations in a remote island environment.

Qualifications

• Dental hygienist licensure or equivalent credentials recognized by relevant authority.
• Minimum of two years as a dental hygienist with current BLS certification.
• Completion of an accredited dental hygiene program with associate degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform dental prophylaxis, periodontal assessments, fluoride treatments, and sealants when appropriate.
• Review patient histories, screen for abnormalities, and communicate findings to the dentist.
• Support dental imaging, radiologic safety, and routine/urgent treatment as authorized.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and maintain accurate electronic records.
• Coordinate referrals and follow-up beyond local capabilities; manage supplies and sterilization.
• Contribute to patient safety, clinical quality, incident reporting, and emergency drills.
