Deloitte is seeking a Consultant in Mexico to support analytical and modeling tasks within engagement teams. You will work with stakeholders and cross-functional teams, delivering well-defined analytical tasks and providing technical guidance as needed.

Responsibilities include data preparation, descriptive analytics in Python, training and evaluating ML models, building dashboards, and supporting cloud-based deployment and monitoring under senior guidance. Fluency in English required.

Work you’ll do/Responsibilities

As a Consultant at Deloitte, you will work within an engagement team and be responsible for supporting the overall project goals and objectives. In this role, you will interact with stakeholders and cross‑functional teams. It is expected that you will be able to perform independent tasks as well as provide technical guidance to team members, as needed.

• Supports analytical and modeling work under the guidance of senior data scientists. Learns statistical fundamentals, data preparation techniques, and model evaluation practices while delivering on well‑defined analytical tasks.
• Prepares, cleans, and transforms datasets for analysis and model development.
• Implements descriptive and exploratory analysis using Python and relevant libraries (pandas, NumPy, matplotlib).
• Trains and evaluates baseline ML models using established frameworks (scikit-learn, XGBoost).
• Builds and maintains dashboards and visualizations to communicate analytical findings.
• Supports cloud‑based model deployment and monitoring under senior guidance.
• Documents experiments, assumptions, and findings in a reproducible format.

Qualifications

Required

• 3-5 years of consulting and/or industry experience
• Completion of course of study/Egresado in Computer Science/IT/Computer Engineering, or any pertinent field or industry, or equivalent years of experience.
• Advanced English level
• Python Proficient; writes modular, production‑ready code; builds reusable ML pipelines; applies testing best practices (pytest).
• BI / Analytics: Proficient in BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker); designs semantic layers; builds self‑service reporting assets; strong SQL skills.
• Cloud AI (AWS/GCP/Azure): Proficient on at least one cloud AI platform; designs MLOps pipelines (training, registry, serving, monitoring); familiar with managed AI services.
• ML / Modeling: Strong hands‑on experience with tree‑based models, neural networks, NLP, or time‑series; implements hyperparameter tuning and cross‑validation rigorously.
• Statistics: Applied experience with regression analysis, Bayesian methods, hypothesis testing, and causal inference techniques.

Preferred

• DevOps / CI-CD Familiar with Git workflows and basic CI/CD for model code; understands containerization (Docker) for model packaging.
