HCLTech in Monterrey is seeking a Data Engineer with a Front-End Development profile to join our analytics team. You will blend data management (SQL, Snowflake, Power BI) with hands-on experience building multi-module React applications and applying Generative AI tools to accelerate coding.

You will collaborate across teams, manage the full deployment lifecycle of front-end solutions, optimize complex SQL, and integrate BI datasets via REST APIs. Experience with Snowflake Cortex AI is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in React development.
• Proven experience deploying multi-module React applications.
• Strong knowledge of Git version control and CI/CD workflows.
• Advanced SQL skills including CTEs, window functions, complex joins.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake including warehouses, stages, tasks, streams, roles, permissions, cloning and Time Travel.
• Knowledge of Power BI and API integrations.
• Experience using AI-powered code-generation tools in daily workflows.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to document technical decisions.

Resource Description:

We are looking for a Data Engineer with a Front-End Development profile who combines strong data management capabilities (SQL, Snowflake, Power BI) with hands-on experience developing multi-module React applications.

This person will leverage Artificial Intelligence tools to accelerate code generation, collaborate within a team using version control, and participate in the integration of advanced analytics services, including Snowflake Cortex AI.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain multi-module React applications, ensuring a scalable, clean, and well-documented architecture.
• Use Generative AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, or similar solutions to accelerate code writing, refactoring, and code reviews.
• Manage the complete deployment lifecycle of React applications, including builds, semantic versioning, packaging, deployment across environments (development, staging, and production), and CI/CD configuration.
• Design and optimize complex SQL queries in Snowflake, including data modeling for analytical consumption and front-end interfaces.
• Integrate Power BI Datasets through REST APIs to expose processed data to corporate dashboards and reports.
• Explore and implement use cases using Snowflake Cortex AI, including built-in ML capabilities, LLM functions, sentiment analysis, summarization, and search capabilities over data stored in Snowflake.
• Actively collaborate with the team using Git, including branching strategies, pull requests, and code reviews, and participate in Agile ceremonies.

Responsibilities / Mandatory Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in React development, including hooks, context, routing, and state management with Redux or Zustand.
• Proven experience deploying multi-module React applications, including micro-frontends, monorepos (Nx, Turborepo), or modular architectures using lazy loading and code splitting.
• Strong knowledge of Git version control, including branching models (GitFlow or trunk-based development), conflict resolution, release tags, and CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Advanced SQL skills, including CTEs, window functions, complex joins, query optimization, and handling semi-structured data such as JSON/Variant.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake, including warehouses, stages, tasks, streams, roles and permissions, cloning, and Time Travel.
• Knowledge of Power BI and API integrations, including push datasets, refresh endpoints, embedding, or direct connectivity from Snowflake.
• Experience using AI-powered code-generation tools as part of daily development workflows, with the ability to validate, refine, and ensure the quality of AI-generated output.
• Strong collaboration skills, including clear communication, documentation of technical decisions, and openness to code reviews.

Preferred Qualifications / Highly Valued Skills:

• Experience with Snowflake Cortex AI, including functions such as CORTEX.COMPLETE(), CORTEX.SUMMARIZE(), CORTEX.SENTIMENT(), and CORTEX.SEARCH(), as well as experience creating semantic search services or RAG solutions using data stored in Snowflake.
• Knowledge of Snowpark (Python or Java) for data processing within Snowflake.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, and Cypress.
• Knowledge of containers (Docker) and basic orchestration for application deployment.
• Experience building middleware APIs using Node.js or FastAPI to serve as a bridge between Snowflake/Power BI and front-end applications.
