Schaeffler Vehicle Lifetime Solutions Mexico is seeking a motivated student to support product data management, catalog accuracy, and data quality initiatives. The role involves validating master data, reviewing technical information, and assisting on part number analysis to identify coverage opportunities.

You will work with cross‑functional teams to improve data consistency, capture standard and 360° images, and contribute to portfolio development.

Formación

• Pursuing a degree in mechanical/automotive/industrial engineering or related field.
• Interest in product data management, master data, and coverage analysis.
• Basic understanding of automotive products, specs, applications, and attributes.
• Interest in catalog management, part number analysis, weights/dimensions, and imaging processes.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.

Responsabilidades

• Support management, validation, and maintenance of product master data for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist in collecting, reviewing, and correcting technical product information (weights, dimensions, applications, attributes).
• Support analysis of part numbers, product references, and applications to identify coverage opportunities and portfolio gaps.
• Assist evaluation and comparison of OE and competitor part numbers to support coverage analysis.
• Identify data gaps and inconsistencies, supporting corrective actions to improve data quality.
• Support capture and management of standard and 360° product images for catalogs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain accurate product records and references.
• Prepare reports and analyses related to product data, coverage expansion, and portfolio management.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Support the management, validation, and maintenance of product master data, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and completeness across internal systems.
• Assist in the collection, review, and correction of technical product information, including weights, dimensions, applications, and product attributes.
• Support the analysis of part numbers, product references, and applications to identify coverage opportunities, portfolio gaps, and product extension possibilities.
• Assist in the evaluation and comparison of OE and competitor part numbers to support coverage analysis and product portfolio development.
• Help identify missing applications, data gaps, and inconsistencies, supporting corrective actions to improve product information quality.
• Support the capture and management of standard product images and 360° product images for catalog and product content purposes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain accurate product records, references, and technical data.
• Assist in the preparation of reports, documentation, and analyses related to product data, coverage expansion, and portfolio management.
• Support the review of technical and product data to identify trends, improvement opportunities, and data quality enhancements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on data governance, process efficiency, and product information consistency.
• Follow up on assigned tasks and projects, ensuring timely execution and proper documentation.

Your Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Interest in product data management, master data, technical information, and coverage analysis.
• Basic understanding of automotive products, technical specifications, applications, and product attributes.
• Interest in product catalog management, part number analysis, weights and dimensions, and product imaging processes (standard and 360° images).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Proactive, responsible, organized, and eager to learn in a dynamic environment.
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Intermediate to advanced English, both written and spoken.
• Passion for cars and the automotive industry.
  Preferred Competencies:
• Knowledge of Excel and data analysis tools.
• Ability to work with large datasets and identify patterns or inconsistencies.
• Interest in aftermarket products, catalog management, and product portfolio development.
