Job summary

PwC is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join a leading data analytics team in Guadalajara. The role combines on-site collaboration with remote flexibility to design, build, and optimize data pipelines and storage infrastructure for large-scale datasets.

You will work with data scientists and analysts to ensure high data quality, governance, and scalable solutions across cloud platforms and data warehouses. A proactive problem-solving mindset and strong SQL skills are essential.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's or Master's in CS/Engineering/Statistics or related field is required.
• 4+ years of data engineering experience and strong SQL skills are essential.
• Proficiency in Python or Scala and experience with ETL/ELT processes.
• Hands-on cloud data platform experience (AWS/GCP/Azure) is expected.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and data modeling is required.
• Ability to work in a hybrid on-site/remote environment and collaborate with teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for ETL/ELT.
• Develop data warehouses and data lakes using cloud technologies.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across systems.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to define data needs.
• Implement data governance and security best practices.
• Automate data processes and monitor pipeline performance.
• Develop and maintain data models to support reporting and analytics.
• Explore new data technologies to improve infrastructure and efficiency.
• Write efficient SQL queries and scripts for data extraction and transformation.
• Contribute to overall data strategy and architectural decisions.
