EGOS BI is seeking a Data Engineer to design and maintain scalable data pipelines and Snowflake-based platforms. This full-time hybrid role is based in Monterrey, with flexibility for partial work from home.

You will collaborate with analysts, developers, and business stakeholders to translate data requirements into robust ETL processes, ensure data quality, and stay current with modern data engineering practices.

• Strong data engineering skills with Snowflake as a core platform.

Role Description

This full-time Data Engineer Snowflake role at EGOS BI is a hybrid position based in Monterrey, NLE, with flexibility for partial work from home. The role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and Snowflake-based data platforms that support analytics and business intelligence initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and optimizing ETL processes, modeling and warehousing data, ensuring data quality and reliability, and collaborating with analysts, developers, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements. The Data Engineer will monitor performance, troubleshoot data issues, implement best practices for security and governance, and contribute to continuous improvement of data architecture and workflows. The role also involves documenting data solutions, supporting reporting and dashboard needs, and staying current with Snowflake and modern data engineering tools and practices.

Qualifications

• Strong data engineering skills, including experience with modern data stacks and Snowflake as a primary data platform.
• Proficiency in data modeling and data warehousing to design efficient, scalable structures that support analytics and reporting.
• Hands-on experience with Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes and tools, including building, orchestrating, and optimizing data pipelines.
• Ability to perform data analytics, interpret results, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate data into actionable insights.
• Solid knowledge of SQL and at least one programming language commonly used in data engineering (e.g., Python).
• Experience with cloud data environments and related services (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) is highly beneficial.
• Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
