Philip Morris International is seeking a Data Engineer to join the Data Insights & Analytics team in Mexico City (Hybrid). You will transform business requirements into scalable data solutions for reporting, dashboards, and analytics across the organization.

The role requires 2-3 years of experience, advanced English, SQL and Python skills, and experience with ETL/ELT processes and cloud platforms like AWS.

Qualificações

• 2-3 years of experience in Data Engineering or similar data-focused roles.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Programming experience with Python.
• Experience developing and supporting ETL/ELT processes and data workflows.
• Experience translating business needs into technical solutions.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Strong analytical thinking, collaboration skills, and learning agility.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or other cloud environments.
• Background in Retail, Consumer Goods, Banking, Financial Services, Telecommunications, or Pharmaceutical.

Responsabilidades

• Build, enhance, and maintain data pipelines, data transformations, and analytical datasets.
• Develop ETL/ELT processes that support reporting, dashboards, and analytics use cases.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions in collaboration with business users and technical teams.
• Perform data validation, testing, reconciliation, and quality checks to ensure reliable outputs.
• Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis of data-related issues.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, business logic definitions, and data mappings.
• Monitor data pipelines and proactively identify risks related to performance, quality, or availability.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with regional and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable data solutions.
