Job summary

Avertium, LLC is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to serve as a trusted technical advisor to mid-market and enterprise clients. You will administer security measures for application, web and infrastructure security and work with client teams to align IT security with business goals.

Responsibilities include SIEM alert handling, incident guidance, vulnerability trend analysis, and collaboration with vendors to strengthen overall security. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field; or 4 years of equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years of experience with Microsoft Active Directory.
• Experience with PCI, HIPAA, or SSAE16 certifications is preferred.
• Strong ability to analyze complex technical and business problems.
• Knowledge of NIST, IT security frameworks and Windows/Linux server environments.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, respond to, and analyze SIEM alerts and incidents.
• Provide technical guidance to clients to improve security posture across managed products.
• Coordinate with vendors and third parties to improve information security.
• Respond to security tickets escalated from clients and resolve events.
• Create weekly/monthly status reports and daily task deliverables.
