Siemens Energy is looking for a Customs Global Classification team member located in Queretaro, MX. You will be responsible for collaborating and determining accurate customs classifications for the Americas region. The position requires at least 2 years of experience in HTS classifications and a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.

Formación

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in HTS classifications.
  • Excellent written and verbal language skills in Spanish and English.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.

Responsabilidades

  • Collaborate in customs classification determinations.
  • Analyze and classify goods according to HTS.
  • Monitor Customs Classification processes.

A Snapshot of Your Day

As a member of the Customs Global Classification team, you will be responsible for collaborating in the determination of accurate customs classifications on behalf of Siemens Energy legal entities in the Americas region (NA), located in Queretaro MX, attending mainly HTS Classifications in Canada. You will capture data/documentation and determine the correct customs classification (tariff) according to the Harmonized Trade System for different jurisdictions across the region.

This position reports to the Global Classification Team and works in close collaboration with the Customs Operations and Customs regulatory teams, as well as interacting with different Siemens Energy Business stakeholders.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Identifying the required information for customs classification and gathering this information from systems and/or colleagues of the relevant departments such as engineering, R&D, Projects and other areas.
  • Analyzing and collaborating/assisting in classifying goods according to Harmonized Tariff Schedule and taking into consideration technical attributes required for the classification process.
  • Monitoring and controlling Customs Classification processes.
  • Actively participating in team growth efforts.
  • Recommend when needed changes in current processes.
What You Bring
  • At least 2 years of experience in the field of Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classifications.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or trade, legal or related.
  • Excellent language skills (written and verbal) in Spanish and English are a must. English resume must be submitted for consideration.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (particularly Excel).
  • Experience with customs/ERP IT systems such as SAP, MIC, Integration Point, etc. a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
