Forvia is seeking a Quality Leader to act as the primary plant representative to the customer, drive robust 8D-based problem solving, and manage customer approvals and engineering changes. The role requires leading cross-functional teams, ensuring quality validations, and driving continuous improvement in a fast-moving manufacturing environment.

• Minimum education level: Engineer Bachelor or Technical Diploma with equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A minimum of 3 years’ professional quality experience.
• Fast moving manufacturing experience.
• Experience of leading problem-solving initiatives.
• Nice to have automotive experience.
• Nice to have experience in other functions (production, logistics, ...)

Responsabilidades

• TCS: Be the main representative of the plant to the customer and represent the customer in the plant. Ensure all validations as required by customers are completed.
• QRCI: Drives customer compliant resolution process, ensuring robustness of problem solving (8D, D1 to D3). Organize and participate in all technical meetings with the customer.
• Launch: Be in charge of getting customer’s approval (Transfer programs and Engineering Changes) Support and participate in the creation of methods to ensure the performance of the site’s management systems.

Your mission, roles and responsibilities

Overall responsibilities and duties:

The plant for any quality matters. They represent the customer voice into the plant. Be in charge of getting customer’s approval, (PPAP, deviation, 8D, customer portals…). The main missions of the role are:

• TCS:Be the main representative of the plant to the customer and represent the customer in the plant.Ensure all validations as required by customers are completed.Review and discuss customer quality results (based on each internal and external communication platform, ensure the correctness of theseapplications).Audit all related storage sites and the Customer assembly line in order to ensure the compliant use of our products.Define and enforce the scale of customer voice within the plant (e.g. demerit products, complaints, PPM...) and implement / leads appropriate recovery plan with the plant.Manages derogations with the customer.Monitors customer quality portals.Drive and ensure all customer specific requirements within defined perimeter


• QRCI:Drives customer compliant resolution process, ensuring robustness of problem solving (8D, D1 to D3).Organize and participate to all technical meetings with the customer (Solve technical problems, manage changes, progress path, …)Ensure the correct escalation of the alert system in the Plant.Ensures appropriate feedback to the customer: timing and robustness of 8D, presentation of results and progress, …It has the responsibility and authority to stop non-conforming products, shipments and / or production.


• Launch:Be in charge of getting customer’s approval (Transfer programs and Engineering Changes)Support and participate in the creation of methods to ensure the performance of the site’s management systems.

Your profile and competencies to succeed

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have/be:

Minimum education level: Engineer Bachelor or Technical Diploma with equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

• A minimum of 3 years’ professional quality experience.


• Fast moving manufacturing experience.


• Experience of leading problem-solving initiatives.


• Nice to have automotive experience.


• Nice to have experience in other functions (production, logistics, ...).

Skills and competencies:

• Good quality foundation (capability study, SPC, FMEA, problem solvingmethodology, Control Plan, ...).


• Strong analytical and proven team problem solving skills.


• Continuous improvement attitude.


• Basic knowledge of Mexican health, safety, energy, and environmental standards.


• Basic knowledge and identification of environmental aspects and impacts.


• Basic knowledge in IATF 16949.
