Job summary

Dematic is seeking a results-driven Production Planning / Order Management specialist in Mexico to ensure OTIF through clear coordination with production, purchasing, and logistics. You will monitor open orders, manage shortages, and lead schedule adjustments to meet customer expectations.

You will analyze capacity constraints, push for on-time delivery, provide regular reporting on backlog and OTIF, and collaborate with master schedulers and planners to optimize the end-to-end process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or related.
• 5+ years of experience in Production Planning within manufacturing plants / shop-floor execution environments.
• Hands-on experience with Production order creation and management, shop-floor coordination and manufacturing execution.
• Strong experience in SAP PP (Production Planning).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in capacity-constrained environments.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• English proficiency (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Order Management: Monitor open sales orders and commitments; track past-due and at-risk orders; prioritize critical orders and expedites.
• Material Follow-Up: Review shortages; coordinate with Purchasing and Sourcing; verify material availability before order release.
• Production Coordination: Work with Master Scheduler & Production Planners; monitor progress; identify bottlenecks and recovery opportunities.
• Customer Service & Reporting: Provide order status updates; communicate risks and recovery plans; report backlog and OTIF metrics; participate in SIOP reviews.

Job description

Responsible for ensuring that a customer sales order progresses successfully from order receipt through shipment and delivery. Ensure customer orders are shipped on time and in full (OTIF) while proactively managing shortages, capacity constraints, and delivery risks. We offer: Job Description: Order Management Monitor open sales orders and customer commitments. Track past-due and at‑risk orders. Prioritize critical customer orders and expedites. Maintain promise dates and communicate changes.

Material Follow‑Up

Review shortages impacting customer orders. Coordinate with Purchasing and Sourcing on late materials. Escalate supplier issues affecting customer deliveries. Verify material availability before order release.

Production Coordination

Work with Master Scheduler & Production Planners. Monitor production progress against customer requirements. Identify bottlenecks and recovery opportunities. Support schedule adjustments to meet customer demand.

Customer Service & Reporting

Provide order status updates. Communicate risks and recovery plans. Report backlog, OTIF, and past‑due performance. Participate in daily, weekly, and SIOP reviews.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or related.
• +5 years of experience in Production Planning within manufacturing plants Shop‑floor execution environments.
• Proven hands‑on experience with Production order creation and management, Shop floor coordination, Manufacturing execution.
• Strong experience in SAP PP (Production Planning) (MM‑only profiles will not be considered).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience working in capacity‑constrained environments.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• English proficiency (written and verbal).
