A leading company seeks a Senior Criminal Investigations and Analysis Advisor in Mexico City to support international narcotics and law enforcement efforts. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in the Mexican criminal justice system, critical thinking skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders. This role requires fluency in Spanish and English and a strong background in criminal investigation and analysis.

Formación

  • Mexican Citizen with proficiency in Spanish (FSI level 4/4) and English (FSI level 3/3).
  • Five years of experience in the Mexican Criminal Justice system since 2016, preferably as an analyst or investigator.

Responsabilidades

  • Coordinate criminal investigation and analysis projects to assist Mexican institutions.
  • Maintain project documentation and support U.S. and GOM officials.

SGI Global LLC is seeking a fluent Spanish-speaking a Senior Criminal Investigations and Analysis Advisorto support the Department of State, Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) in Mexico City, Mexico, which requires professional and administrative support services to work with the U.S. Foreign Assistance Program to Mexico

Qualifications:

  • Mexican Citizen.
  • Spanish FSI level 4/4.
  • English FSI level 3/3.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in international relations, law, criminal justice, law enforcement, public administration or related field;
  • A combination of five (5) years of experience in the Mexican Criminal justice system working as a prosecutor, analyst, or investigator at the Federal or State level, with a minimum of five (5) years of experience actively participating in high-impact criminal investigations and trials under the Mexican accusatorial criminal justice system. Recency of experience (since 2016) is required. Experience working as an analyst or investigator is preferable to solely prosecutorial experience. (Candidates who completed only administrative tasks, including reports, internal notices, etc., do not satisfy this requirement);
  • Knowledge of criminal analysis products and investigative techniques based in the Mexican criminal justice system.
  • In both English and Spanish, incumbent must demonstrate through oral presentations and written products:

1: An ability to think critically and objectively analyze data and synthesize information.

2: Strong problem-solving to identify issues and make recommendations

3:Effective briefing skills to present findings to senior leadership in English and Spanish

  • Proactive attitude and ability to work independently.
  • Proven organizational skills and teamwork.
  • Proven ability to collaborate and work as a tema with multiple stakeholders including law enforcement, prosecutors, and foreign government counterparts.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and accept feedback.
  • Proven time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to adopt to changing priorities and demands
  • Experience in drafting and authoring accurate and detailed reports and delivering presentations.
  • Ability to work effectively with senior U.S. and GOM officials.
  • Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to pass a U.S. Embassy RSO security background check.
  • Desired but not required: Experience conducting training or teaching in topics related to the accusatorial criminal justice system. Project management experience; and
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment.

Duties:

  • The position is located in Mexico City, Mexico. Travel to other locations in Mexico, the United States and other countries may be required.
  • Develops and coordinates criminal investigation and analysis projects that assist Mexican institutions mitigate and address high-impact crimes.
  • Coordinates INL work with U.S. and GOM officials, inter-agency colleagues, international organizations, and foreign governments outside of Mexico.
  • Maintains project documentation; supports grants and contracts officer.
  • Tracks developments in Mexico's criminal justice system.
  • Advises INL on project development and strategy, Mexican law, local policies, and procedures involving public safety, investigations, prosecutions, and criminal analysis for investigations involving high-impact cases.
