Yazaki North America, Inc. seeks a Cost Engineer to develop and manage cost estimates and customer quotes for wire harnesses. You will analyze BOMs, engineering changes, and pricing structures, using GCT and BEAMS tools to ensure accurate quotes and profitable outcomes.

The role requires 1–2 years in automotive cost engineering or design, strong Excel skills, and collaboration with multiple business units to meet customer deadlines.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• Experience handling cost quotes and price analysis for automotive products preferred.
• Proficiency with Excel for data extraction, validation, and reporting.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, validate and manage forecasted internal manufacturing cost estimates and external customer prices for wire harness quotes.
• Determine and apply proper costing processes for each quote type (Absolute, ECO, TW, GAME, Simple PR).
• Use Global Costing Tool (GCT) as the foundation for quote generation.
• Analyze BOM and engineering changes to ensure accurate quotations for customers.
• Collaborate with Business Unit and regional teams to meet deadlines and reduce financial risk.
• Provide data feedback to Engineering and Tools teams to improve costing processes.
