Job summary

Placements24 seeks a General Accountant in Guadalajara to oversee cost accounting, budgeting and financial reporting. You will manage daily accounting operations, ensure accuracy, and provide insights to improve cost control.

Hybrid work arrangement combines remote work with occasional in‑office collaboration. The ideal candidate has a bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, 4+ years in general accounting with cost focus, and proficiency in QuickBooks or SAP and advanced Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 4 years in general accounting with cost accounting and budgeting.
• Strong knowledge of Mexican NIF.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations (AP, AR, GL).
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Develop and maintain cost accounting systems.
• Assist in annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
• Analyze variances between actual results and budget/forecast.
• Ensure compliance with NIF and tax regulations.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Reconcile bank statements and GL accounts.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in accounting.
