A global cleaning solutions company is seeking a Cost Controller in Querétaro, Mexico. The role involves preparing financial statements, analyzing performance, and supporting budgeting activities. As a Cost Controller you will prepare comprehensive financial analyses for operations, including interim and final financial statements with supporting schedules to provide valuable insights for management decision-making.
Provide comprehensive financial support for manufacturing sites across North America and internationally.
Analyze site-level performance, working closely with cost controllers and plant managers to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency.
Lead annual and monthly product costing cycles, including BOM analysis, material usage variances, routings, and tariff impact.
Evaluate and validate costing structures in SAP, support accurate costing for new products and projects.
Collaborate with cost accountants, general accounting, and local management to provide data-driven insights and drive strategic decisions through financial analysis.
Lead the analysis of local financial performance, including reviewing and interpreting financial results to identify cost reduction, productivity improvements, and profit optimization opportunities.
Oversee financial forecasting and budgeting activities for the division, ensuring accuracy and alignment with company goals.
Review, analyze, and interpret the results of all financial statements, offering specific recommendations to management for cost reductions, productivity increases, and overall profit improvement.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field. A professional certification such as CPA or CMA is a plus.
5-7 years of experience in cost accounting, financial control or manufacturing finance.
Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
In-depth knowledge of financial statements and performance analysis.
Strong understanding of IFRS, IAS, US GAAP, and SOX 404 regulations.
Experience with SAP and financial reporting software.
Advanced Excel skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Advanced English.
