Yinlun TDI, LLC in Monterrey is seeking a Cost Accountant to lead cost accounting, inventory control, and financial analysis in a manufacturing environment. You will support cost control, month-end closings, and drive operational efficiency across the organization.

The role partners with Production, Purchasing, Logistics, Warehouse, and Finance to analyze variances, maintain standard costs, and produce reports on costs, profitability, and budgets.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4–8 years of cost accounting experience in manufacturing.
• Fluent in Spanish; working proficiency in English.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and analyze manufacturing cost accounting activities.
• Monitor production costs, inventory variances, purchase price variances, scrap, and overhead.
• Prepare cost reports, inventory reconciliations, variance analyses, and profitability reports.
• Maintain and update standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of cost data in the ERP system.
• Analyze actual costs against standard costs and investigate variances.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Collaborate with Production, Purchasing, Logistics, Warehouse, and Finance teams to improve cost control.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and support continuous improvement.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Finance Manager.

The Cost Accountant will be responsible for cost accounting, inventory control, and financial analysis activities within a manufacturing environment. This position will support cost control, financial accuracy, month-end closing, and operational efficiency across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and analyze manufacturing cost accounting activities.
• Monitor and analyze production costs, inventory variances, purchase price variances, scrap, and manufacturing overhead expenses.
• Prepare cost reports, inventory reconciliations, variance analyses, and profitability reports.
• Maintain and update standard costs for materials, labor, and manufacturing overhead.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of cost data in the ERP system.
• Analyze actual costs against standard costs and investigate significant variances.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Support internal and external audit activities.
• Work closely with Production, Purchasing, Logistics, Warehouse, and Finance teams to improve cost control and operational efficiency.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Finance Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4–8 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Automotive manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of standard costing, inventory control, cost allocation, and variance analysis.
• Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Plex, or similar systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across departments.
• Fluent Spanish is required.
• Professional working proficiency in English is required.
