Job summary

Volcanix Automation is building a multidisciplinary Controls & Robotics team to support a large-scale energy manufacturing facility. We are hiring engineers and programmers across experience levels for hands-on work in industrial controls, PLC programming, robotics integration, and SCADA development.

This on-site role emphasizes commissioning, production support, and collaboration with project managers and engineering teams to deliver safe, reliable automation solutions.

Qualifications

• Engineering or technical degree required.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Comfortable working on-site in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
• Self-motivated with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, configure, commission, and troubleshoot industrial control systems and automated equipment.
• Program and troubleshoot Allen Bradley PLCs using Studio 5000.
• Develop, configure, and maintain Ignition or factory talk view Platform SCADA applications
• Integrate robots with PLC-controlled equipment, industrial networks, vision systems, and safety devices.
• Optimize robot paths, cycle times, and process performance to meet production goals.
• Perform system testing, validation, customer run-offs, and production handoffs.
• Troubleshoot controls, robotics, electrical, communication, and automation issues.
• Collaborate with project managers, mechanical engineers, production personnel, and customer teams.
• Maintain technical documentation while following customer engineering standards.
