VOLCANIX AUTOMATION is building a multidisciplinary Controls & Robotics team to support a large-scale energy manufacturing facility in the Northeastern United States. We are hiring engineers and programmers across several experience levels, from Intermediate Engineers to Technical Leads, for hands-on work in industrial controls, PLC programming, robotics integration, and commissioning on-site.

Responsibilities include developing, configuring, commissioning, and troubleshooting control systems;

Strong debugging and documentation skills.
On-site work in fast-paced manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

Develop, configure, commission, and troubleshoot industrial control systems and automated equipment.
Program and troubleshoot Allen Bradley PLCs using Studio 5000.
Develop, configure, and maintain Ignition or FactoryTalk View SCADA applications.
Integrate robots with PLC-controlled equipment, industrial networks, vision systems, and safety devices.
Optimize robot paths, cycle times, and process performance to meet production goals.
Perform system testing, validation, customer run-offs, and production handoffs.
Troubleshoot controls, robotics, electrical, communication, and automation issues.
Collaborate with project managers, mechanical engineers, production personnel, and customer teams.
Maintain technical documentation while following customer engineering standards.

We are hiring multiple engineers and programmers across several experience levels, from Intermediate Engineers to Technical Leads.

This is a hands-on engineering opportunity involving industrial controls, SCADA development, PLC programming, robotics integration, commissioning, and production support in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Experience Levels

Intermediate Engineer / Programmer

1+ years of experience in industrial automation.
Experience in one or more of the following:
Siemens PLC programming (TIA Portal)
Working experience with Ignition Platform (SCADA)
Familiarity with industrial networks (Profinet, EtherNet/IP)
Experience supporting commissioning and startup activities
Strong troubleshooting skills in manufacturing environment
Experience with vision systems, motion control, safety systems, or error-proofing is preferred
