Gates Corporation in Toluca, Mexico is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to design, implement, and support electrical control systems across manufacturing sites. You will lead PLC and HMI projects, develop SOWs, and drive continuous improvement while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role requires 5+ years in machine control, Allen Bradley experience, and strong knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems, with 60–70% travel.

Formación

• BS Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 5 years in machine control systems with PLC and HMI programming on Allen Bradley.
• Experience with Allen Bradley equipment is REQUIRED.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
• Experience with lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles in a manufacturing environment.

Responsabilidades

• Designs a complete project, system, component, or process.
• Prepares complete project documents.
• Designs and conducts experiments, and analyzes and interprets data.
• Independently evaluates, selects, and adapts standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
• Formulates and solves problems.
• Impacts a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams; works within broad guidelines and policies
• Explains complex, difficult and/or sensitive information; works to build consensus
• Designs, develops, and supervises all aspects of electrical control systems, equipment, and machinery.
• Provides installation and technical support of PLC based hardware and software.
• Prepares and presents capital project proposals for Gates' manufacturing plants in the Americas.
• Develops Statements of Work (SOW); prepares bid packages for quotes; reviews and provides the recommended sourcing decision.
• Recommends and implements improvements and/or modifications in sequence of operations, equipment utilization, and continuous improvement opportunities.
• Supplier visits for project updates and equipment run-offs.
• Maintain electrical control standards to ensure the latest.
