Placements24 in Mexico is seeking a vigilant Live Transportation Traffic and Monitoring Operator to oversee real-time fleet movements, identify disruptions, and coordinate with drivers and dispatchers. The hybrid role operates from our Tlaquepaque hub with remote oversight.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, be comfortable with GPS, TMS, and logistics software, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience monitoring fleets, transportation dispatch, or similar logistics role.
• Strong knowledge of GPS, TMS (Transportation Management Systems), and other logistics software tools.
• Ability to work under pressure and make quick, effective decisions in crisis situations.
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills to interact with drivers, operations staff, and management.
• High attention to detail and analytical ability to interpret traffic data and patterns.
• Flexible hours, including night or weekend shifts, as part of a hybrid model.
• Proficiency with standard Office tools.
• Residency in or near Tlaquepaque, Jalisco, with ability to attend facilities as needed.
• Proactive problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Monitor in real time the location and status of fleet vehicles using GPS and TMS systems.
• Identify and alert on potential delays, deviations, or incidents in transport routes.
• Coordinate with drivers to provide assistance, updated information, and directives during issues.
• Communicate with operations and other departments to ensure quick, effective responses to emergencies.
• Keep accurate logs of traffic events, actions taken, and resolutions.
• Analyze fleet performance data to identify trends and propose routing/operational efficiency improvements.
• Ensure adherence to delivery schedules and estimated transit times.
• Provide periodic reports on traffic status and fleet performance to management.
• Collaborate in implementing new technologies and tools for monitoring transport.
