Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Process Engineer on a temporary contract to design, develop and validate manufacturing processes in a dynamic industrial setting. You will help build new production cells, create technical documentation, and improve existing methods while supporting capacity expansion and lean initiatives.

Requirements include an Industrial/Mechatronic/Mechanical Engineering degree, 5+ years in harness manufacturing, 3+ years with cable and wire machines, strong English, and proven

Qualifications

• Industrial, Mechatronic, or Mechanical Engineering degree required.
• 5+ years of experience in Harness manufacturing processes.
• 3+ years of experience with cable and wire machines: cut, strip, terminate, crimp, terminals punching, wire marking, testers.
• Spoken and written English required; able to communicate effectively in a technical environment.
• Strong knowledge of continuous improvement, line balancing, capacity calculations, planning and layout.
• Project management experience and documented change-management accomplishments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and validate manufacturing processes for new and existing production cells.
• Lead the buildup of new production cells and generate technical information for production processes.
• Maintain and improve manufacturing methods and support capacity expansion plans.
• Implement, promote and maintain a safe work environment with accident prevention culture.
• Lead by example and coach manufacturing technicians.
• Drive lean manufacturing initiatives and DFMEA/DFAM related documentation.
